Human resources business partner / hrbp - united states, nashville

as part of the human resources team the hrbp will report to the vice president of hr and support employee engagement across multi-site, multi-state operations. this position will partner with upper management and line supervisors to carry out responsibilities of payroll, benefits, workplace safety, training, and other general human resources administration.

responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • maintaining knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations, including wage and hour law that affect human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, employee handbook, and reporting are in compliance.
  • processing and maintaining bi-weekly payroll, including preparation efforts to ensure accurate data prior to processing and auditing payroll after it has been processed.
  • assisting with benefits administration including group health insurance (enrollment, cancellation, changes and monthly billing reconciliation), cobra administration and pto
  • performing key recruitment and hiring processes for the full employment cycle, such as posting positions, applicant screening, scheduling interviews, and other onboarding activities for temporary and full-time associates.
  • responsible for all administrative duties for the human resources department, including employee orientation and termination process, maintenance of all personnel files, hris, verifications of employment, unemployment claims, etc.
  • must be able to travel up to 20% of the time
  • education and/or experience:

    - bachelor's degree (b.a./b.s.) in business, human resources, or related field from an accredited college or university.

    - four or more years of professional human resources, employee relations and payroll experience.
