at our world class facility in elphinstone, tranent (close to edinburgh),our statistics & data science department currently has an exciting career opportunity for a *statistician.*

department information

based in our toxicology division, our statistics & data science department requires an additional colleague to work within the team. this follows steady expansion of our business and increasing demands from both regulatory authorities and our clients for professional statistical input to our study designs and data management. it is anticipated that the expanded group in edinburgh will provide support for our facilities in france and the netherlands.

key responsibilities:

* to provide statistical support (including design, analysis and reporting) and expert advice for a wide range of non-clinical studies

* to liaise with research scientists about the status of analysis on assigned studies

* to communicate directly with clients about the statistics input to their studies

* to keep abreast of relevant developments

applicants must have:

* a degree in statistics or a degree with significant statistical content

* experience of reporting clinical and/or preclinical studies

* proven sas programming experience

* competent within all microsoft packages including, microsoft word and excel.

salary for this role will be dependent on skills and experience.
