essential duties and responsibilities:

runs production by loading machine by lifting material into position and cycling the machine. does so through safe operations and adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces, adhering to applicable quality, customer, and company standards.

maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer and work instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and making suggestions for repairs.

assure product and production environment meets company and customer expectations of quality, productivity, organization, and workmanship. 

accurately report production data, including inspection and set-up sheets as appropriate. 

assist team leaders, programmer, and peers as directed, to include fixture building or maintenance.

qualifications

education and experience:

minimum of a high school education and two or more years of machining experience including the completion of equivalent training and/or on-the-job experience.

required to read and write english, follow verbal instructions and use shop math (i.e. algebra, trig and geometry).

familiar with milling and turning tools, offset adjustment and tool replacement.

g code and m code proficient

mastercam experience considered a plus.
