experienced concierge couple to look after our property in france.

we are looking for a friendly, hardworking couple to live in their own detached cottage and take care of our beautiful villa in the south of france. due to exceptional circumstances this position needs filling urgently, it would be great if could be filled right away.

the property is a treasured second home for an energetic middle aged family based in uk and is sometimes rented also. we need people who can cope and thrive when it is very busy but also enjoy it and use their own initiative when times are quiet (in the winter).

the roles involve general housekeeping, cleaning and organizing linen. an interest in food and ability to prepare dishes is also required. a love of nature and gardening with some knowledge of a mediterranean terrain is a huge plus. must be able to take care of a swimming pool and perform general handy work jobs. some driving will be needed and a flexible and can do attitude essential.

one of the couple must speak very good french. you must both speak and write very good english.

one of the couple must be able to drive our car which is provided.

hours are 40-45hrs per week. flexibility of hours works both ways, some weeks it is very quiet and some weeks busy.

we are looking to find someone who will enjoy working with us and stay for a long time if possible. we want people who enjoy the french culture and will take pride in their job and the property. to love it as their own. we would like to find a couple who are willing and hardworking, cheerful and helpful and always ready to go the extra mile. we will look after you very well in return.
