Sewing operator - united states, durham
adecco is assisting a local client in the rtp, durham area for sewer's and seamstress. if you know how to sew we have a job for you!!
use the sewing machine to sew or decorate clothing and other products. keep machines stocked with thread, position material under needles, and guide their stitching to sew parts together. when a product is finished, these operators measure each item to ensure accuracy.
operate sewing machines to perform related sewing operations in the manufacture of garments.
will also:
· position items under needles, using marks on machines, clamps, templates, or cloth as guides.
· monitor machine operation to detect problems such as defective stitching, breaks in thread, or machine malfunctions.
· place spools of thread, cord, or other materials on spindles, insert bobbins, and thread ends through machine guides and components.
· guide garments or garment parts under machine needles and presser feet to sew parts together.
time: monday – friday 7 am to 3:30 pm
