adecco search is currently recruiting qualified candidates for our welder position with our client, in philadelphia,pa, who specializes in manufacturing. as a welder you will work in coordination with the shop supervisor and other senior management to ensure that all manufacturing equipment is fit and welded to the specifications of each job and meets outlined requirements.

 

job requirements:

basic math skills with ability to read tape measure

good vision , hearing, smell and balance

extensive knowledge in welding and fabrication

strong ability and in-depth knowledge of common welding processes, uses of jigs, fixtures and other template equipment, physical dexterity for welding and fabrication processes and blueprint interpretation

competent general inspection of weld joints, common welding processes, and the ability to be proficient in most areas of general welding fabrication including:

tig, mig, and stick welding processes

sanitary welds

bridge port

lath welds

drill press

cnc welding

welding components in flat, vertical or overhead positions

operating safety equipment and using safe work habits

must be able to work overtime including weekends

 

physical requirements:

 

ability to lift up to 50 pounds without reasonable assistance

must be able to frequently push, pull, kneel, stoop, bend and reach

walking on a continual basis 

standing on a continual basis

use of both hands and arms

cold storage environment. production rooms are kept at a constant 32 degrees (and below in certain areas). ability to withstand cold storage temps for extended periods of time

must be able to work in a safety sensitive position.
