the role operates across three uk locations and 4 businesses of the same group of companiesspend responsibility for ??????85m per annum across a range of engineering services and materialssome uk and european travel
the post holder is responsible for:
management of a buying portfolio and the leadership of the uk sites procurement teamdevelopment and implementation of common policies, processes and procedures for all group site procurement teams across europe, in line with procurement excellence
key accountabilities:
lead she activity in all uk contractor and supplier interactionslead the development and implementation of common policies, processes and proceduresdeliver a cost effective procurement service for the uk sitesmanagement of the uk sites procurement teamimplement processes and lead continuous improvements activities within the procurement function
key skills and knowledge:
degree educationat least 10 years experience in technical/engineering roles with front line commercial/procurement experiencestrong knowledge of diverse markets relevant to maintenance activities for a major chemical companycapability to lead and direct a multifunctional procurement teamresults orientated with a focus on delivery and costinfluencing and challenging skillsgood commercial acumengood interpersonal skills and relationship buildingcapacity to work in an international environment
