part time cook/chef required to work in the busy kitchen of a coffee shop to assist with food preparation, to bake cakes, cook hot dishes such as lasagnes, casseroles, savoury tarts, sausage rolls and fresh soups. duties also include making food to order during breakfast and lunch time - anything from poached eggs, salads, sandwiches and scotch eggs to toast! all our food is made from scratch using good quality ingredients. the successful candidate should be able to work under pressure in a busy environment and be creative and willing to try new ideas as well as the firm favourites
new ideas are always welcome for daily specials and you will be required to keep food safety records.
the role is approx. 22 hours a week, based on a 3 day week and alternate saturdays but happy to discuss options.
some extra hours maybe required for holiday cover and during busy periods.
