Forklift operator - united states, charleston (south carolina)
here’s your chance to work for one of the largest food and beverage companies in the world! adecco is hiring immediately for forklift operators with a local client in charleston, sc. forklift operators perform essential duties with pay starting at $17.95/hour, plus available overtime. in this role, you will unload, transport, and deliver raw ingredients and finished products to the warehouse or manufacturing lines. you will also load empty/full pallets to and from transport trucks to the manufacturing line. this position will likely have housekeeping duties such as recycling plastic, mopping/sweeping, and ensuring cleanliness standards.
requirements:
18+ years of age
high school diploma or ged
minimum two years of experience as a lift-truck operator in a manufacturing environment is preferred
valid forklift license/certification
must be able to pass forklift driving skills test
experience with radiofrequency (rf) warehouse management systems is preferred
operational knowledge in a wms/tasking environment
ability to demonstrate good math aptitude
perform administrative/recordkeeping duties as may be required
must be able to work in a team-based environment
strong communication skills to effectively communicate in english with internal and external customers/resources
customer-focused
attention to detail is critical
pass the drug test / physical capabilities test (if applicable)
ability to safely lift up to 50lbs
ability to carry, lift, reach, bend, and climb, stand, and walk throughout shift
position may include periodic weekend and/or holiday work
may require off-shift and overtime (including weekend work)
please note: this position starts in charleston, sc, then will move to the new ladson, sc approximately by july 11, 2022
