Trustees - united kingdom, bridport, dorset

the bridport area development trust (badt) is about to enter a new era with 2 major projects nearing completion. the trust is looking to recruit new trustees to support new projects that will benefit bridport and the local community. we are brainstorming potential new projects, involving external organisations, local people and carrying out funding analyses with a view to producing feasibility studies on the most promising ideas.

badt is particularly looking for individuals with experience in one of the following areas:

chair - social media/it management - fundraising - marketing - legal

•the ability to think strategically, focusing on major issues, while recognising the realities and practicalities of operational management in a voluntarily organisation

•well-developed and effective networking skills in a range of contexts and situations

•well-established and current professional networks that bring positive benefit to the trust

•highly effective inter-personal, communication and advocacy skills

•a readiness and ability to take on the leadership and delivery of agreed projects and particular areas of activity

•an ability to command respect amongst stakeholders and decision-makers in the public and private sectors

trustees act as badt's governing body and are legally responsible for directing its affairs, ensuring it is solvent, well run, and delivering its charitable objectives. trustees are unpaid; but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

badt is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee established in 2009 and currently run by a team of 8 experienced and highly motivated trustees, working in partnership to identify, plan and deliver regenerative projects that meet local need and provide long term economic, educational and community benefit to the local area with the key criteria for support being that of sustainability.
