this is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to learn the skills of milking cows. no experience necessary as you will be given time to learn the skills of milking and will be working with and taught by the farmer.
i operate a long-established family farm of 200 holstein fresian cattle in a charming hamlet, between wincanton and sherborne.
milking is twice daily, from 4:30am-7:30am and 2pm-5pm in a modern parlour. you will be taught milking skills and expected to carry out milking and associated duties, maintaining the highest standards of welfare and hygiene.
whilst experience is not essential, the successful candidate must be hardworking, reliable, and self-motivated, and have a driving licence.
accommodation will be available from autumn for a full-time employee, in a 2 bedroom, fully equipped static home.
a good salary will be offered.
