Analytical lab technician - united states, cambridge bay
adecco is looking for an analytical lab technician in cambridge, ohio. the primary function of this position is to perform analytical testing and data analysis of raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods (fabric softeners and dish liquids/cleaners). starting pay $20.75/hour with 4-year degree; $15.75 with 2-year degree.
responsibilities include but not limited to:
perform physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process and finished product samples in accordance with the quality plan and standard operating procedures. approve materials and finished products based on test results
troubleshoot, maintain, and calibrate lab equipment as required
maintain lab cleanliness and restock reagent bottles and diluents
routinely prepare and review test data, including tracking and trending of data
provide support to cross function teams to resolve nonconformance issues and identify root causes and corrective actions
support special quality and continuous improvement projects for facility
coordinate sample collection and shipment for stability testing at colgate research and technology center
maintain accurate, up to date and concise laboratory notebooks and records
minimum qualifications
2 year degree in a science-related field
has the ability to smell odors and see colors in order to perform smell, color & appearance testing
experience with basic lab equipment such as ph, balances, microwaves, viscometers, etc.
desire, willingness, and ability to learn new laboratory practices
good knowledge of google sheets & docs
attention to detail, time management, organization and multi-tasking skills
excellent documentation skills and management of batch records/production paperwork
ability & flexibility to work a rotational schedule to support a 24/7 facility operation
preferred qualifications
4 year degree in a science-related field
has in-depth knowledge of basic analytical testing, laboratory procedures and good laboratory practices
experience with hplc or gc chromatography
practical lab experience with gdp exposure
