adecco is recruiting for a direct hire position in a major manufacturing facility in topeka.
this great new position is responsible for preparation of drawings using specifications provided by clients and customers while applying industry standards.
essential job responsibilities include:
developing sketches, drawings and part models from design sketches or other drawings.
revising existing drawings, both cad and manually created.
checking dimensions of parts and materials to be used in relationship of various parts to the whole machine or project.
creating equipment manuals for manufacturing machines.
developing new part designs and improvements to existing designs.
reviewing engineering drawings.
ability to unpack and move supplies up to 50 pounds.
performing other duties as assigned.
job qualifications:
technical school certification in auto cad or solidworks or associates degree in drafting required.
bachelor’s in engineering or a related field is preferred.
minimum two (2) years of work experience with cad is preferred.
knowledge of manufacturing processes including welding, machinery and assembly.
skilled in microsoft office, autocad and solidworks or similar modeling software.
ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
ability to present information and answer questions, verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers.
ability to analyze data and using logic to address work-related issues and problems.
organize, multi-task, plan, set priorities in a fast-paced environment.
ability to work independently and in team settings.
