People assistant - hr - support office - united kingdom, faversham, kent

shepherd neame is looking for a people administrator to join our people team based at the brewery & support office in faversham on a full time permanent contract.

you will be an experienced, self-motivated professional with a flexible approach and the confidence to take ownership of key processes. we are looking for someone who has a sense of humour, is a team player and has an eye for accuracy and organisation. the good news is you don’t need to be fully hr qualified to apply for this role, although we’d love for you to be working towards one.

duties and responsibilities

be the point of contact for first line people queries:-

offer hr expertise and advice to all team members and managers as necessary provide administrative support to the people team maintain records, files and spread sheets in line with data protection legislation keep ad-hoc analysis and reporting on hr issues up to date coordinate weekly hr audit checks support the recruitment process as required become a subject matter expert on company people policies, ensuring full compliance at all times. support and coach line management with first line absence, disciplinary and grievance queries. develop engaging, proactive communications across all levels.build positive and effective relationships with unions, agency suppliers, colleagues and stakeholders.work collaboratively with the team in processing employee change forms timely and accurately. ensuring all system data changes and the relevant paperwork is generated for employee life cycle events such as promotions, flexible working, changes in hours etc. ensure all on-boarding processes run smoothly including responsibility for the induction processes complying with best practice and company policy

full time - 37.5 hours per week 08:30 - 17:00, monday to friday with 1 hour lunch (unpaid).
