Shift manager - united kingdom, purfleet, essex
we are a fast-growing recycling business based in purfleet, essex and we are now recruiting for the newest member of our team!
we are looking for an experienced supervisor who knows what it takes to manage drivers in a fast-paced, multi-drop environment.
you will be responsible for dealing with day-to-day problems and working with our help desk team to resolve collection issues to ensure the best possible service for our customers.
other key responsibilities include:
line management of your shift, being responsible for driver conduct and performance.
ensure collections and deliveries are completed on time, managing any problems on the road as they occur.
dealing with real time customer issues and queries from our helpdesk team.
ensuring driver compliance with walk around checks and repairing minor defects.
monitoring driving standards
managing staff absence
your shift will be '4-on-4-off' meaning you will work 4 days a week for 12 hours; 4am until 4pm, which would include weekends on a rota basis.
requirements:
at least a b class license (higher wage bracket for those with a c class)
own car or own means to get to work
live within 1 hour's drive of purfleet rm15
ability to think independently
