the client
my client is one of the uk's leading providers of planned and responsive maintenance services in the social housing sector, maintaining more than 500,000 properties nationwide every year. due to managing an increased number of properties, my client is looking to recruit an additional planned maintenance site manager for the crewe region.
the role
reporting to the contracts manager, you will be overseeing their retro fit planned maintenance contract and will be required to manage, monitor and maintain the programme of works on their stock of houses in the crewe region. works will include ewi, roofing repairs and replacement windows and doors etc.
duties
managing, monitoring & motivating supervisors, sub-contractors and direct staff
assessing the scope of works
site set up - setting up full programme of works and ensuring they are being followed
full health and safety assessments
ensuring h & s procedures are being followed
sporadically checking the quality of all planned works
ensuring all works are being completed within set deadlines
liaising with the quantity surveyor in relation to budgets
ensuring works are being carried out to programme and within budget
feeding back progress reports to the management team
liaising with site supervisors to manage and maintain the programme of works
skills
candidates must have previous experience of managing planned maintenance, social housing projects
valid asbestos awareness certificate (although this is not essential as we can arrange for you to do this online prior to commencing with the client)
clean driving licence
high level and understanding of health & safety requirements and procedures
smsts, cscs card, first aid certificate
the benefits
the client is looking to get someone on board with immediate effect and the role will run for a minimum of 6 months.
£25.00ph cis plus 0.45p site mileage
