to ensure our products continue to meet the highest standards, we are now looking for a quality technician to join our talented team based in rendlesham in suffolk.

the primary responsibilities of the role include:

the inspection of components using appropriate testing and measuring equipment.
reporting to suppliers any nonconformity, establishing corrective and preventive actions.
generating goods returns notes and maintaining associated records.
inspecting product returned and establishing the appropriate action.
investigating any production concerns, establishing corrective and/or preventive actions.
conducting random quality inspections on final assemblies.
reviewing and inspecting company documentation, updating, as necessary.

additionally, you will assist the quality manager by:

maintaining the internal quality audit programme, assisting with quality system audits and maintaining records, as necessary.
maintaining the test equipment calibration system, with instrument reviews and inspections.
maintaining quality records.
assisting in the creation of documentation, i.e. quality bulletins, production bulletins etc.
co-ordinating external audits and liaison with the relevant certification bodies.

advantageous experience:

it will also be helpful, but not essential, if you have previous experience of transport refrigeration, an understanding of engineering manufacturing processes, some practical, hand-on workshop experience and training/qualification as an internal auditor.

working hours:

this is a full-time role working monday to friday, 8:30 - 17:00, including an hour lunch break.
