Sous chef for aussie inspired brunch restaurant - united kingdom, crouch end, london

kiss the koala is looking for a skilled, hands on sous chef for its brunch restaurant in crouch end, north london.

we are looking for someone with a great imagination and a good understanding of the australian brunch concept to support our head chef with passion and positivity. we are also looking for someone who is imaginative and wants to showcase new and innovative ideas. as an employer, we know that each chefs style and character are different and we love to embrace the individuals that we have working in our kitchen. we like everyone to be able to work on there ideas and be creative in the kitchen. we love being creative and we love our food to look just as good as it tastes so we're looking for someone who strives for perfection with every dish.

responsibilities:

- support the head chef

- day to day running of the kitchen in the absence of the head chef

- menu planning & development

- daily ordering

- staff training

- stock control

- budget control

- ensuring the kitchen is kept clean at all times and making sure that health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times.

- ensuring all food leaves the kitchen as per company standards

- ensuring all food leaves the kitchen on time

- making sure all kitchen paperwork is up to date at all times

- making sure that all food is labelled at all times as per health and safety guidelines

- other ad-hoc duties requested by management

candidates must have at least level 2 food safety and hygiene or be willing to complete this (we can arrange).
