about nutfield day nursery

we are a 56-place independent day nursery located near redhill, surrey; a large house within 5 acres of outdoor space. the team are a friendly bunch and love building strong partnerships with families and encourage children's learning through play.

several practitioners are forest school-trained, and the forest school ethos is embedded into the nursery day. learning is supported through outdoor environments and children are encouraged to work together, fostering teamwork, independence and having fun!

about the role

an exciting position has become available for full time, level 3 early years practitioner to join our friendly team based in surrey. the successful candidate will work 41 hours per week over 4 days and will earn a competitive salary. the ideal candidate will have a positive, fun and friendly approach with a willingness to learn, have excellent communication and written skills, be patient, kind and caring with the ability to build strong, supportive relationships with children, parents, carers and staff.

role requirements

hold a full and relevant level 3 childcare qualification
have a sound knowledge of the statutory framework and development matters
paediatric first aid is desirable but not essential as training can be provided
food hygiene, prevent, channel awareness, british values and safeguarding training are desirable but not essential as training can also be provided

role responsibilities

building strong partnerships with children's families
ensuring welfare needs are met, as well as education needs
working well as a team member
individual support plans being carried out for the children that need them
supporting the room leads in planning a fun, stimulating environment and experiences for the children
working within the setting's policies and procedures
