job description:
completes shipments
unloads, receives, and puts away incoming goods and merchandise
sorts, labels, moves, and stores goods and merchandise into right places
weighs or counts items for distribution
prepares, picks, packs, and dispatches outgoing goods and merchandise
loads trucks for customer delivery
consolidates freight for shipping as appropriate
enters data into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records
compiles tickets or worksheets from customer specifications
must haves:
high school diploma or equivalent coupled with 1+ years relevant experience and/or training.
basic computer skills
strong written and verbal skills
basic problem-solving skills
able to lift 50+ lbs. with help from pallet jacks etc.
able to work in a team
