we are seeking a support assistant to support our clients with their daily living skills and to live as independently as possible.
we provide community-based floating support to people aged 18 or over, who have learning disabilities in the mansfield and ashfield areas of nottinghamshire.
we provide a comprehensive induction programme as well as on-going training to develop new and existing skills and encourage progression. candidates with enthusiasm, a real passion for the role and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply as we are committed to delivering a tailored training programme

the role of support assistant will include:
providing a high quality and hands-on support service
supporting our clients to live as independently as possible
ensuring that clients are supported by developing their daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and being part of their community
encouraging social inclusion and helping clients to build their confidence, resilience and self-esteem
working with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for our clients
maintaining a safe environment for clients, providing support in accordance with relevant regulations, procedures and practices
skills and experiences:
ideally you will have experience of working with adults with learning disabilities
you will be empathetic and non-judgmental with a positive approach to managing challenging behaviour
a positive, 'can-do' attitude
excellent interpersonal, organisational, listening and time management skills
nvq2 in health & social care, or willing to work towards
travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
