working 37.5 hours a week at st mary's hospital, you'll be a part of an environment that provides specialised services for people with acquired brain injuries (abi), progressive neurological conditions, autism spectrum conditions (asc) and deaf mental health problems, with a layout that enables you to deliver care within a low stimulus, spacious environment.
reporting to elizabeth, the lead psychologist, you will be responsible for individual and group interventions, diagnostic and neuropsychological assessments, mdt working, risk assessment and facilitating staff reflective practice sessions.
as a psychologist, you will have experience and knowledge in carrying a service user's caseload, including assessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support their care plans.
there is a strong emphasis on teamwork with regular supervision and cpd opportunities available to support you in reaching your career aspirations.
your responsibilities:
providing evidence-based psychological assessment
contributing to mdt care planning and review
assisting the cpa process
contributing to audit and research
to be successful in this role, you'll need:
accredited post-graduate qualification in clinical, counselling or forensic psychology
registration with the health care professions council (hcpc) (or qualification pending)
post-registration experience is desirable, though not essential
experience of working with people detained under the mental health act (1983/2007) and in a forensic mental health setting is desirable
