adecco is hiring immediately for an asset specialist with a local client in newport news, va. the asset specialist will perform essential duties with pay starting at $27.00/hour, plus available overtime. in this role you will be a strategic member of the it asset management team and provide hardware and software procurement, charge back, asset audit function with vendors and associates.
responsibilities:
execute procedures for the procurement of hardware and software assets working with vendors and it associates.
assist in monitoring and assessing process metrics, kpis, and process improvements.
responsible for the management of it assets.
track metrics and create reporting to address management requirements to obtain information.
create purchase order based on quotes received from associates.
prepare analysis for purchase order status reports and manage purchase order policy compliance.
collaborate with the it enterprise operations management team to monitor report and manage all software license compliance on workstations, enterprise wide.
compile, maintain, and manage inventory of company software and hardware assets with the specified database.
use reporting and analysis tools to analyze asset purchases, as well as forecast future needs.
track and maintain software licenses through preferred vendor and report variances of non-compliance to management.
builds and maintains relationships with preferred hardware and software vendors and review performance of this vendor periodically for continuous improvement.
in addition to the essential job functions described, all associates will perform duties as requested by management.
requirements:
procurement or accounting experience
ability to write report segments and to participate in presentations.
proficient knowledge of ms excel and word.
excellent verbal and written communication skills.
ability to work independently and as a team member.
ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a fast learner.
customer service oriented.
