care assistant - the grange in newport near saffron walden cb11 -part of the country court family
hours- day shifts 44 hours per week, working weekends on rota
we are currently looking to grow our already established and dedicated team of care assistants at the grange.
the grange care home offers family-led residential and specialist dementia care for up to 40 residents. situated in the debden grange retirement village, our care home is close to saffron walden and just a short drive from cambridge. led by maria the manager, our fantastic team offer highly compassionate, personalised care, that is tailored to the needs of each individual

about the care assistant role
within the care assistant role, you can really make a difference to our residents' lives. your responsibilities will include:
helping our residents with personal support and care
aiding their emotional well-being and social needs
serving meals/drinks and assisted feeding
interacting with our residents on a personal level
maintaining and developing the residents care plan to ensure their needs are met
about you
our fantastic staff are at the heart of our homes & provide vital day-to-day support to our residents, so we would love to hear from those who really do want to make a difference to people's lives.
be no stranger to working long shifts
have good written & verbal communication skills
able to engage well with the residents and their families
have an understanding of people with dementia.
experience as a care assistant is preferred but not essential
have an nvq level 2 in health & social care or be willing to work towards this.
