what you will do
you will be responsible for optimizing our production ability of one of our major sites that produces foam and gas suppression systems that are used across the globe. what we need is for you to look for ways to optimize resource, minimize cost and improve quality.
how you will do it
your days will include planning, managing and reviewing production plans, setting output and quality objectives, monitoring expenditure, forecasting resource output, designing/planning layouts for assembly and materials handling, adapting machine or equipment design, planning sequence of operations, developing manufacturing processes, providing guidance for engineering design concepts and implementing six sigma/dmaic methodologies of thinking.
what we look for
[required qualifications - education, skills & experience]
hnd/hnc in mechanical or electrical engineering (or similar subject)
experience working within a manufacturing environment - as well as being able to demonstrate how you made positive changes to the site.
ms office proficient
cad proficient
the ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organisation
person with a strong work ethic and able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business

degree qualification within mechanical or electrical engineering (or similar subject).
experience with fire suppression equipment.
knowledge of six sigma/dmaic.
