Senior site engineer - united kingdom, huddersfield, west yorkshire
we are looking to recruit a senior project engineer to join our clients growing yorkshire presence. due to rapid expansion, our client, a main contractor is looking to recruit an experienced senior project engineer to join them on a permanent basis to work on a variety of industrial projects between the value of £10m-£50m.
the role is split between site and the office and you will provide varied day to day duties and responsibilities. you will be involved in all aspects of the business from engineering solutions to pricing and profit. the client is looking for an individual who has drive, ambition, personality and the desire to succeed and overcome challenges.

role and responsibilities:
dealing with section 38, 104 and 278 agreements
project managing civil engineering projects
undertaking desk based studies into roads and sewer infrastructure
conducting site investigation works and inspections
liaising with local council and water company
compiling detailed site reports
on site supervision/management of civil engineering works
obtaining 'sign off of the works from the adopting authority and pursuing adoption certification from the various authorities
reviewing tenders and works quotations
commercial assessments, valuations and costing of works
contractor liaison & client management
managing junior staff and engineers
surveying
review/production of cad drawings
maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules and regulations.
compiling & submitting required adoption documentation liaising & managing sub-contractors to complete works
solving civil engineering problems and delivery of key works under deadlines
you must have a proven track record in project management, dealing with s38, s278 and s104, highways and sewers, a cscs card, a civil engineering qualification and main contracting background is preferable.
in return, the client is offering a basic salary circa £55k-£60k plus car allowance and bonus potential.
