Material handler - united states, santa clara

adecco is currently seeking a material handler for a local client. this role will be part of the inventory controls team supporting the microarray research services laboratory (mrsl) and will have a primary focus on ensuring organized material management to the santa clara site.

responsibilities

receive inventory shipments from suppliers and receive po’s into jd edwards system

verify items received against purchase orders; open, label, package and stock incoming material

handle materials with attention to detail

prepare materials for all domestic and international shipments and deliver to shipping dock

assist in the performance of weekly cycle counts

assist in weekly pull of material for services laboratories

fills shortages and replenishes stock in inventory locations

coordinate and develop positive relationships with mrsl management, shipping/ distribution team, and members of the laboratory

minimum requirements/qualifications

high school diploma, ged or equivalent required

at least one year of warehouse, material handling, or distribution experience

ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs

schedule mon - fri 1st shift

public transportation grey shuttle

driving instructions off of ca-101

type of assignment 12 months temp-to-perm opportunity
