we are looking for a head chef to put forward their skills cooking and managing our kitchen operation situated in our subtropical gardens, abbotsbury.
this is a hand’s on role overseeing the kitchen and its activities. working for us in our award winning garden which is privately owned creating exciting dishes using the finest ingredients from the local region. we also create specific menus for our other site at the swannery, special functions and groups.
you will have a desire to create dishes based on the seasons
*3 years of experience at a high level.
*good understanding of current food hygiene guidelines.
*full appreciation of allergens.
*be able to create and cost new dishes and menus.
*order and store necessary stock levels.
*have an understanding of trends, creating dishes to suit.
*to train and assist others working in the catering department.
*you are able to work within a fast paced environment.
*have certification in catering.
