as we continue to grow, we are fully focussed on continuing our growth strategy to further support our clients. we are looking for a business unit head to take overall responsibility for the daily running and future growth strategy of the business unit in line with company expectations to meet and exceed client expectations on the delivery of our services.
key responsibilities
to actively lead the team in delivery of studies from start-up to close out providing oversight and strategic support to develop patient recruitment / retention strategies and solutions on their studies.
to lead on client relationships and act as their main point of contact for service delivery and escalations as required.
to review the business unit key performance indicators (kpis) including people management functions and delivery and adherence to budgets. provide support and advice on scope and budget change orders as required.
ensure accurate forecasting and accurate, timely invoicing and review resourcing requirements alongside current staffing and request resources as necessary.
overall line management responsibilities of the business unit team and responsible for the regular appraisal and review of training requirements and compliance.
to be a strong line manager to the team, providing timely, accurate and effective feedback and communications to ensure smooth running of the unit.
detailed responsibilities (but not limited to)
to effectively manage patient recruitment & retention programmes for defined projects, including:
acting as main client liaison
high quality execution of site optimisation service delivery, as contracted
utilising patient recruitment strategy and project management to support enrollment planning and patient recruitment for clinical research sites globally
lead project teams to drive results
management of projects including finances
internal team management including line management of senior patient recruitment manager (sprm) patient recruitment manager (prm) and below
effectively manage unit resource requirements; review future study requirements and resource needs.
key skills/attributes/education
degree or higher in a biological science (preferred)
extensive experience in clinical trials of increasing responsibility and relevant knowledge of gcp/ich
demonstrated experience managing small teams (office based and/or remote)
demonstrable extensive experience in people management including change management processes.
expertise in developing and overseeing patient recruitment and retention strategies
health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of how sites support clinical trial enrollment
excellent organisation and communication skills, both written and oral alongside strong presentation skills
ability to multitask, managing a variety of projects simultaneously, and experience working with numerous stakeholders on multi regional projects
proficient in using microsoft office programs; excel, word and powerpoint
experience of working with google suite preferable
