part time housekeeper needed for property in loughton essex. looking to appoint a dedicated, professional, and self-motivated housekeeper with excellent knowledge of cleaning products and knowledge of how to care for furniture and surfaces with high-end finishes.

working autonomously, you will be responsible for all hands-on cleaning, organisation, and general tidying up, laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management, as well as grocery shopping and errand running. duties will also include preparing simple, family style meals for dinner and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy. fridge/dishwasher/tidying cupboards putting away laundry.

the ideal candidate will be organised, well-presented and have a strong work ethic and positive, ‘can-do’ attitude to ensure you must be child friendly but there are no nanny duties involved.

working monday to friday, working roughly 4 hours per day but can be flexible with hours for the right candidate. living locally and having a full, clean uk driving license and your own reliable transport are essential requirements for this role. for the right candidate, additional administrative duties may also be available, but this is not essential.

duties to include but not limited to:

cleaning including dusting, hoovering, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms
all laundry and wardrobe management, including linens, caring for fine fabrics, ironing, including putting laundry away
emptying/stacking the dishwasher, cleaning the fridge/oven/microwave
general tidying and organisation of the home, including drawers and cupboards
managing stocks of household items
grocery and household shopping
liaising with nanny & principals to ensure the smooth running of the home
liaising with contractors and tradesmen

essential criteria:

prior housekeeper experience in a private household
fluency in english both spoken and written
hardworking and dedicated
high attention to detail
driver with a full, clean uk driving license & own reliable transport
able to work independently with little supervision
trustworthy and reliable
excellent checkable references
