Kitchen assistant - united kingdom, leith, edinburgh
we are a catering company based in leith looking for someone who can join our small friendly team.
we are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is keen to learn new skills and has a passion for working with fresh and seasonal produce. ideally already comfortable in a kitchen environment with a basic understanding of kitchen safety.
duties include:
basic food prep under instruction from the kitchen team
following cleaning procedures and schedules.
putting away all equipment, cutlery, crockery, glass ware etc. safely and in the correct areas.
operating the kitchen dishwasher
sweeping/mopping
waste disposal
assisting with packing food for deliveries
full time position and days are usually monday to friday with some occasional weekend work. shifts will change each week depending on the business requirements and catering bookings, however we are happy to try and be as flexible as possible with hours for the right candidate so would also consider part time.
driving licence would be an advantage but not essential.

salary: £11.00 hour
