we are looking to recruit a production planner for our eccles, manchester site.

about the role

working as part of the supply chain team and in close liaison with production management, the job holder will be required to plan production for specified product groups to ensure that material is available to meet customer demand whilst controlling stock levels to meet working capital targets.

you will be required to develop an understanding of product compatibility, plant capacities and plant / process limitations in order to develop production schedules which optimise production efficiency.

requirements - education and experience

sound communication and organisational skills (essential)
adaptable, self-motivated individual with the ability to work within an international environment using own initiative, and within a team (essential)
sound it skills (essential)
previous experience working in a production planning role, preferably within a chemical manufacturing organisation (desirable)
educated to degree level in a related field (desirable)
working knowledge of sage (desirable)
