Live out carer / support worker needed for a permanent position (day shifts) in potters bar - united kingdom, potters bar, hertfordshire

available shifts: monday to sunday 9am till 2pm (1 hour break).

£15/hr

we are looking for a kind, experienced and reliable hardworking live-out carer to help care for mum in her home in potters bar. job to start immediately.

the job would suit someone looking for a permanent position. days of the week are negotiable but preferably at least 3 days a week.

mum is 67 years old with advanced multiple sclerosis. mum has a happy disposition and a fully functioning mind but is severely physically disabled requiring regular double up hoisting and is dependent for all personal care.

the job would suit a carer local to potters bar with a special interest in the psychological consequences and complexities of chronic disease and disability. patience, the ability to communicate effectively and allay anxieties on a daily basis are essential attributes. plenty of experience in using a hoist is also essential.

9am till 2pm double-up shifts involve the morning routine; washing on the shower chair, dressing and all personal care, feeding breakfast and lunch. double up hoisting required.

ppe is provided and must be worn at all times.

essentials:

must have plenty of hoisting experience.

must drive or be within walking distance of potters bar.

must have good references.

must be patient, honest, reliable and genuinely caring.
