do you enjoy working with your hands? working in a fast-paced environment? looking for a short term contract? working a day shift monday – friday? if you answered yes to any of these, adecco is currently assisting a local client, recruiting for general laborer positions in garland, tx. starting pay is 17.50/hr, 9:30am – 5:30pm, 40 hours per week, paid weekly.
job responsibilities:
attach identifying tags to containers, or mark them with identifying information
move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, and other equipment.
assemble product containers and crates, using hand tools and precut lumber.
load and unload ship cargo, using winches and other hoisting devices.
skills needed for the general laborer:
• verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
• team player and detail oriented.
• knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
education/experience:
• high school diploma or ged required.
• 0-2 years experience required.
