this mobile plant operator role involves operating various tracked and wheeled material handlers to meet the requirements of site operations. the successful candidate will have experience in the operation, and basic maintenance of the machines and ideally hold a current plant operator's licence and be qualified to nvq level (spmo).

the ideal candidate for this mobile plant operator role will have an awareness of the recycling industry and health and safety relating to the role.

training will be given on specialised plant.

main duties of a mobile plant operator include:

ensure the recycling plant loading operations are managed in line with levenseat standards and health and safety legislation.ensure all mobile plant basic maintenance, cleaning, and inspections are carried out and recorded as per company and manufactures instructions and procedures.ensure compliance with all company work practices as directed.operate mobile plant and equipment safely and competently.undertake general housekeeping duties around the site and buildings in accordance with sorting line supervisor's instructions.take responsibility for co-workers and own h&s and report all incidents and near misses.assist in the day-to-day operations of the plant in accordance with the site licence and contractual conditions.sort and separate waste types to ensure plant performance is at its highest.safely and competently operate mobile plant.maintain the highest cleanliness of all working areas.ensure the machines are maintained in a clean condition. any defect affecting the safe working order of a machine to be reported immediately.ensure the correct personal protective equipment, as provided by the company, is worn at all times.remaining aware, at all times, of your responsibilities for your own health and safety and for the health and safety of your work colleagues.we would welcome applications for this mobile plant operator role from candidates with the following skills and attributes: levenseat, grab operator, mobile plant operator, health & safety, compliance, recycling plant, maintenance, team player, communication, waste, nvq, cscs.
