Facilities manager - united kingdom, borehamwood, hertfordshire

international pharmaceutical manufacturer based in hertfordshire seeks an experienced facilities manager.

about the role:

the position will be responsible for providing leadership and functional expertise to the engineering leadership team for the facility management strategy across the entire site.

duties may include:

be responsible for generating and delivering the site five-year strategic road map.

implement, maintain and manage the sites' utilities (water, steam, electricity & wwtp) and ensure that the plant goes 'beyond compliance' with all required safety, quality and legislative obligations.

leading the ifm team to drive innovation and excellence in their service delivery.

work alongside the engineering teams on the development and delivery of pm and early equipment management strategies.

build employee capability and drive employee engagement through implementation of high-performance work systems that achieve exceptional business results.skills and experience:

experience of working within a regulated manufacturing environment or previous pharmaceutical experience

experience of preparing for internal and external audits / regulatory inspections.

ability to manage programs across technical, commercial and operational groups' successful launches of new products, product changes and other growth plans for the business.

relevant engineering qualification

relevant industry qualification such as iosh or nebosh

green or black belt certification

experience of managing h&s policies, negotiating contracts and managing external service providers to stringent kpis

experience of working within an environment which is focussed on continuous improvement.

experience of working within an aseptic/equipment/processing/utilities environment to gmp standards
