as part of shawston’s growth and continued expansion plans, we have an exciting new position available for a dedicated internal sales resource who would enable shawston to maximise current opportunities to increase market share of the fire markets in location region. an ‘all round – hands on’ internal sales person. ideally you will possess a background from within distribution and have affinity with the product. this role would suit an individual who is looking to grow and develop with a forward-thinking company. the jobholder will proactively manage incoming business and chase new opportunities through effective quote follow up.

key responsibilities but not limited to: -

background and experience

sales and business development executive – fire contractorscovering the north west, working closely with our commercial manager within the hyde branch and external sales director.ideally the candidate would have a background from within the commercial pipework distribution market, and have success within managing customer accountsbuild and nurture long term relationships with customersable to demonstrate a desire to win in a competitive marketalways looking for creative ways to improve the businessunderstand the motivations and needs of the customercommercial and business acumen together with strong networking skillsenthusiastic, driven, creative and focusedable to initiate, manage and adapt to changean effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop, maintain and exploit strong internal and excellent external relationships at all levelstop quality negotiating and sales skillsable to challenge, question, persuade and influence at the highest levelsdetailed knowledge of microsoft applications
