an innovative international business based in camberley are looking for an assistant accountant that will report directly to the head of accounting for a period of 3 months with a strong possibility of being offered a permanent position. this is a full–time, office–based role and would be suitable for someone who is available immediately or at short notice.

assistant accountant – about the role

as assistant accountant, you will predominantly be supporting the head of accounts assisting with the month–end preparation including reconciliations, journals, prepayments, and ledger reconciliations. you will also be responsible for looking at variances that appear and challenge the business where appropriate on why these variances have appeared. your key responsibilities will be:

purchase and sales ledger processing production of monthly management accountspreparation of balance sheet reportsmonthly bank reconciliation and profit & loss review.reconciliation of balance sheets.monthly journals.assisting with the transactional elements to support the month end process. the successful assistant accountant will have:
