the company has been built from the best of best stock within the safety industry. with a blue–chip client list including openreach, balfour beatty, kier, barratt homes and anglian water, courses are delivered nationwide at dedicated training centres and at customer sites. the role: the successful candidate will play a critical role in the success of the customer engagement function, with responsibility for new business generation and for driving customer growth. you will also be responsible for increasing awareness of the company and matching potential client requirements to our portfolio of products and services through strategically planned activity, whilst ensuring that key performance indicators and targets are met. you will form close relationships with key decision makers to increase customer loyalty and drive revenue growth. this role is vital to the growth plans set out by the company and will play a crucial part in ensuring that they are successfully an immediate requirement that can be closed over the phone support follow up activities of the senior business development advisor offering advice and guidance on our training portfolio and related industry certification schemes consistently maintaining our innovative and professional approach to our clients needs and upholding our reputation as the uks trusted training provider ensuring that customer satisfaction results in repeat and expansion business job description – business development advisor build close relationships with key decision makers to ensure customer loyalty and increase market share alongside the senior customer advisors review and qualify client potential and allocate to appropriate business stream for on–going sales development follow up on web–based leads and qualify future potential opportunities update crm to maintain accurate records support all marketing, campaign and lead generation activities work in conjunction with the senior customer advisor by setting appointments to drive account growth. meet and surpass any relevant role related sla targets and kpis, as required. promote any initiatives and customer development activities, as required. knowledge or experience of the construction and/or training/education sector would be beneficial but is not essential. experience in a business–to–business sales environment excellent customer service and people skills, with a hands on and customer–centric approach. ability to deliver in a highly targeted sales role ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels self–motivated and able to work on their own initiative ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in written communications. strong time management skills along with the ability to be organised and plan and prioritise tasks. ability to be responsive to a fast–changing environment. excellent literacy and numeracy skills excellent it skills, especially the use of
