junior gardener - £18k-24k doe

we are on the hunt for an junior gardener or groundskeeper for a full-time, live-out position in hertfordshire. you will be responsible for looking after the extensive grounds of a beautiful privately owned property and you will maintain of all of the outdoor areas such as the grasslands, woodland areas, lakes, flowerbeds, footpaths as well as a fruit and vegetable garden. you will be familiar with all the aspects of horticulture and grounds maintenance and you will report to the head gardener and work alongside another assistant gardener.

duties to include:

swimming pool and tennis court maintenance
maintenance of gardens, lawns, lakes, swimming pool, fencing
maintenance of the garden equipment and machinery

the ideal candidate will have:

• good horticultural knowledge

• experience working in a similar role

• experience using a range of gardening equipment and machinery

• excellent grass care skills

• good physical fitness and energy is a must as the role will be physically demanding

• an enthusiastic and proactive attitude

• willingness to get involved with other aspects of the estate.

days: monday to friday

hours: 8am-5pm (40 hours per week)

salary: £18k-24k gpa
