about this client:
adam (3) is a sweet, bubbly and happy little chap who loves playing with cars, bubbles, enjoys listening to music and stories. adam has cerebral palsy, movement disorder and developmental delay. he is unable to stand or walk yet and requires assistance with all transfers – but he is very determined to move about and be active and can crawl very fast. you must watch out! he has emerging speech and communication and can clearly express his likes and dislikes.
overview of role:
we are looking for an experienced *female waking night carer to join adam’s team. you will play a very active role with him at night; assisting with his night routine, monitoring him closely to ensure he is safe and comfortable. adam can sleep well during the night however he frequently can experience unsettled nights and wakeful periods if he is poorly or unwell due to chest infections. adam requires support with drinking and eating, all transfers and personal care. a fully equipped carer’s room is provided with a video monitor to enable you to always keep watch on adam. nights available: monday to sunday 9.00pm to 8.30am. please state your availability/preferred shifts when applying. additional holiday and sickness cover shifts available. £15.00 waking hours weekdays and £16.00 at weekends
