accountabilities
lead the execution of the employee relations strategy across the organisation
provide effective er leadership
as the subject matter expert for employee relations, you will be the 'go to' person for senior leaders, managers and hr colleagues requiring support or intervention at a complex level
through effective coaching and influencing, enhance capability and encourage behavioural change
partnering with l&d colleagues to collaborate on training and development opportunities for managers, employees and senior leaders
ensure a robust case management process is rolled out and maintained consistently across the board
experience & skills required
cipd or equivalent relevant qualification in employment law
passionate and committed to keep up to date with changes to case law, legislation and practices
deep exposure and experience within an employee relations specialist role, ideally within a complex or highly regulated, unionised environment
experience of driving change behaviour and capability improvement across a multi-disciplined organisation
experience of delivering coaching sessions to a mixed ability group including those outside of hr
sector experience within charity/care sector, not essential but a huge advantage
awareness and understanding of the end-to-end process of a case's going to tribunal (please note, this role focuses on preventing et cases rather than managing them, we just feel it would be important theoretical knowledge to have as a sme)
