our client is currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated learner recruitment co-ordinator/liaison for their birmingham training academy.

salary £17,000 – £20,000 per annum, dependent on experience
additional 3 days holiday at christmas

this birmingham-based training academy has over 30 years’ experience providing quality hairdressing and barbering courses.
as a learner recruitment co-ordinator/liaison your role will involve working with young people, recruiting them on to apprenticeships or full-time programmes. you will liaise with employers and supporting candidates to secure their employment placing.
your role will involve:
working closely with learners and assessing individual skills in finding suitable programmes and securing employment.
building good relationships with employers/schools to engage young people into entering hairdressing/barbering career routes.
meeting with both learners and employers in securing employment or work placement experiences.
attending recruitment events/workshops to raise our client’s profile. leading in the arranging, planning, and organising of events, welcome days and open days, offering a flexible approach and embracing the business needs.
being knowledgeable in updating both learners and employers with relevant programmes and government requirements as requested.
acting as the initial contact to support all potential interest in joining one of the academy programmes.
candidates should be able to demonstrate the following qualities:
initiative in leading recruitment needs for the business and work as part of a team.
able to prioritise a busy workload, adhere to deadlines and set targets.
approachable and able to initiate ideas.
an excellent communicator with high personal presentation and good telephone skills.
a passion for hairdressing/barbering.
experience working with young people or within a training environment, though this is not essential.
hold a driving licence with access to own vehicle.
