we are seeking to expand our team and appoint an experienced av technician to primarily work out of our office in laindon, essex. technicians are core members of our team and are required to support our project managers to deliver the highest standard of service to our clients. our technicians are required to travel nationally and internationally delivering an exceptional level of service.

role overview & key responsibilities

• working closely with the account managers and project managers the deliver our clients requirements

• assisting the pm with planning and co-ordination of jobs

• setting up, preparing and testing equipment prior to going on site

• checking & loading/unloading equipment

• installing and de-rigging equipment to a high standard while following procedures

• operate and/or standby a wide range of av systems during live events

• support and supervise freelancers and crew when the pm is not on site

• project manage small jobs where required

• be the client point of contract when the pm is not on site

• provide on-site and internal technical support where required

• ensuring a safe working environment is maintained at all times

knowledge, skills & experience

essential

• experience and practical knowledge of a broad range of technical av areas including the installation and use of led screens

• strong it / computer skills including using microsoft office

• ability and confidence working at height

• good knowledge of rigging

• a good working knowledge of electricity and temporary power installations

• a good team member with excellent communication skills on and off site, often in a high-pressured environment

• a high level of attention to detail

• highly organised with the ability to prioritise and multi-task managing a challenging workload and meet strict deadlines

• excellent time management and planning skills

• previous av industry experience

• full uk driving licence with access to own vehicle

• valid passport

desirable

• experience driving vans up to 3.5t

• rigging qualifications

• hgv licence

• recognised electrical qualification
