we are currently recruiting for a sous chef to join the kitchen brigade at a stunning coastal 4-star hotel near newquay. the sous chef will assist the head chef in leading the brigade in the preparation and service, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times.

the place

our client is a beautiful coastal hotel, with a view of 2 miles of sand, cliffs and constant surf break. on site they have a fine-dining restaurant, a family restaurant, a bar area and a coffee shop.

the person

the ideal sous chef will have the following:

high standards of cleanliness, stock control, and task prioritisation.a true passion for food and have the enthusiasm and willingness to learn.true team spirit, enthusiasm and the right attitude will go a long way!have a thorough understanding of health & safety and food safety guidelines within the kitchen.knowledge of ingredients and the ability to use them in a creative wayleadership skills - the ability to assign tasks and motivate peoplebelief in being a team playerexcellent time management skillsprevious experience of working in busy kitchen
