job purpose
the production technician level 1 is a member of the production team and assists in preparing inventory
and doing prep work to assist in getting product ready to ship.
duties and responsibilities
the production technician level 1 will have the following duties:
? assemble standard sub-assemblies as required
? follow esd procedures
? maintain a clean and orderly production environment
? perform shipping and receiving tasks
? follow instructions on work orders
? work to keep an accurate inventory of parts and assemblies
? follow and collaboratively improve processes and procedures
? attend production team meetings and participate by providing status information and asking
questions
? other duties as assigned
qualifications
qualifications include:
? electrical wiring or mechanical skill
? panel shop experience a plus
? comfortable working with computers including microsoft office suite/google docs, and online
manufacturing systems.
? ability to work with a team of peers to plan and organize work.
? ability to accurately follow written instructions.
? experience using various tools including manual/electric/pneumatic tools, templates/fixtures,
hand cars, measuring devices, and prescribed safety equipment
? solid work record of safety, job performance and attendance
working conditions
the position is performed in an esd-compliant environment. the production department is open from
8am until 5 pm. working hours should be scheduled with your supervisor to include 30 minutes for
lunch and eight hours of work.
physical requirements
while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, squat,
reach at or below shoulder level, lift, carry, push, pull, and use hands to handle and feel. the employee is
frequently required to reach above shoulder level. the employee is regularly required to lift/carry up to 40
pounds. the employee is frequently required to push/pull up to 40 pounds. the employee may be
occasionally required to push/pull greater than 40 pounds with assistance. the employee should be
capable of using hand tools to include small power tools.
