an exciting opportunity has become available for a vehicle technician within a repair shop located in wakefield.

our client has a need for a vehicle technician who is motivated and able to work to their own initiative. the ideal mechanic will be fully qualified and experienced within the role.

duties:

• servicing and repairs to a variety of cars and small vans.

• fitting of exhaust, tyres, clutches timing belts etc.

• most be fully skilled, time served.

• mot testing performing diagnostic testing to identify vehicle faults

• ensuring that paperwork is completed to the highest of standards

• conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity

• inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately

• inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade

vehicle technician requirements:

• a fully qualified vehicle technician to nvq level 3 or equivalent

• a current and valid uk driving licence

• dedicated and committed approach.

• working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods

• ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)

• willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
