purpose of role

our client is currently experiencing growth of nearly 50% year on year and has ambitious plans to grow further into export markets in asean region as well as extending its product portfolio in the middle east/africa/sri lanka & caribbean regions. the role of document specialist will play a pivotal role in assisting and accelerating this growth. the role will report to the international sales director, however, will be involved with the quality & technical department and work closely with sales & marketing and overseas customers in achieving registration targets and objectives.

the role will involve the registration of manufacturing sites, vitamins, and food supplement products/medical devices/cosmetic products in overseas markets. you will be required to manage the registration process from initial stages to completed registration and ensure that registrations are kept up to date.

key responisbilities

• complete registration files for products & manufacturing units

• working with international customers to understand registration requirements for the respective market

• prepare draft files of products and manufacturing unit with required documents in format required

• build relationships with registration counterpart in market to ensure files are complete and registration is completed within timescales

• follow up any additional requirements as and when requested

• working with chamber of commerce/local government offices to manage legalisation of documents with respective embassies

manufacturing site registration

• work with supply chain to ensure that current/new suppliers can meet requirements for registration

• ensure certificates and related documents are in date and valid

• build relationship with regulatory counterpart to ensure smooth transfer of required information and documents

product registration – food supplement/medical device/cosmetics

• work with marketing to ensure new product development will meet regulatory requirements for export markets

• work with supply chain to ensure that new suppliers can meet product requirements for registration ensure certificates and related documents are in date and valid

• build relationship with regulatory counterpart to ensure smooth transfer of required information and documents

project management

• management of registration projects to meet deadlines and within required budget

• track all costs related to registration

• reviewing processes and ensuring up to date and always striving to improve

company regulatory and technical requirements

• working with quality & technical manager to assist with annual brc audits

• auditing new suppliers to ensure they meet strict quality requirements

• covering for quality & technical manager on annual leave

qualifications, skills and experiences

• experience with completing product/company registration files

• food supplement/pharmaceutical/medical devices/cosmetic experience desirable

• science/food science degree desirable

• experience with product compliance documents

• experience in communicating overseas clients desirable
