adecco is currently assisting a diagnostic and outpatient imagining client, recruiting for mammography technician position. 

the mammography technician will partner closely with the director of radiology and will perform magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography procedures to produce images to assist physicians with a medical diagnosis, while complying with safety and regulatory requirements. 

responsibilities

greet, accept and prepare the patient for mammography and stereotactic guided procedures, must be able to perform x-ray exam

assess and document patient's conditions to determine proper handling and special requirements

check requisition for physician notes and/or special instructions

instruct and assist patients in assuming physical position for appropriate tests

analyze the monitoring results to determine if any corrective action is needed

enforce radiation safety procedures to provide safe environment for patients and staff

ensure documentation of quality assurance/control testing as required by mqsa

maintain mammography/stereotactic equipment and rooms

arrange for preventative maintenance including calibrations of equipment 

experience: 

1-3 years previous mammography experience

arrt (m) certification

state of nevada mammography license

bls certification
