2x12hr day shifts available for experienced private carer - united kingdom, northolt, london
i am severely disabled with motor neurone disease and i am looking for an energetic, experienced care worker to join my care team 2x12 hour day shifts per week.
i need help everything, washing, dressing, feeding, hoisting on and off the toilet/wheelchair/bed and general input during the day to help me to do my activities. i am extremely speech impaired and use an eyegaze device to communicate with and write emails etc. i need people who can read my body language and this can be learned in time.
experience is necessary, especially with hoisting and general moving and handling because i cannot speak to tell you what to do, you must have experience of how to care for someone in a wheelchair. full training will be given by my other carers.
i also like to go out and a clean driving license would be essential, also experience of driving in the uk. i have an accessible vehicle and you might be asked to accompany me on occasional holidays.
pay is up to £17.50 an hour, depending on experience, and ability to drive is paid monthly by paye. pay will include holidays pro rata. i have a small dog that likes to be walked and the position is non smoking. please send your cv and a recent photo.
